Fireworks rules

City of North Vancouver Banned
No sale, possession or use. Approved public displays only.

Permit required. Oct 31 only, 6 to 10 pm.

Fireworks are prohibited.
West Vancouver Check
Check the District of West Vancouver’s rules before buying any.

Welcome the big kids too

If teenagers come to your door this year, please greet them with the same warmth you give the little ones. These are young people choosing not to party, and choosing instead to be outside, in costume, socializing with our community. What a special gift that is. The same goes for the grown-ups who dress up and join in. Keep a few extra treats and a big smile ready for everyone.

Stay safe out there

From North Vancouver RCMP, who will have extra officers on over the weekend.

  • Go with a trusted adult or a group, and stick to familiar, well-lit streets with sidewalks and crosswalks.
  • Carry a flashlight and wear something bright or reflective. Skip masks that block vision, and leave toy weapons at home.
  • Put an emergency contact in your child’s pocket, and check treats before anyone digs in.
  • Keep pets inside, away from the noise.
  • RCMP non-emergency: 604-985-1311. Emergencies: 911.
