View on Amazon →How we set up our magnesium hot tub
- Set up and fill your tub, then start heating the water.
- Add about 10 cups of Plain Magnesium Bath Flakes to a 4-person tub and let them dissolve while the water heats.
- Add the sanitizer your hot tub maker recommends. Bromine and chlorine both work alongside magnesium chloride.
- Float the copper ionizer as a nice extra. Most are made for pools, so check the one you choose suits your tub size, and keep using your sanitizer.
- Soak, relax, then wrap up in your Turkish towel.
- Change the water every two weeks and add fresh flakes each time you refill.
Most inflatable hot tubs are not built to run through a Canadian winter, so check your manual. A garage or covered spot works well, or save it for a spring setup.
